Style File: Fall Fashion Favorites

It never fails: Fall Fashion lookbooks pop up in my inbox, the J.Crew catalog makes it's way over, and bloggers that I follow in cities like New York and San Francisco start to showcase their layering talents - all because other parts of the US actually have seasons, and experience a cool dip in temps.

In Miami, we have been experiencing what's now been, torrential downpours, for the better part of four solid months.  This year has been especially rainy, causing us to style looks with rain boots (coming soon) and umbrellas.
Thought it would be fun to talk Fall fashion picks, under the cut.

This is the Bobeau Asymmetricalconvertible cardigan from Nordstrom.  It's one of my favorite pieces because it's super versatile, soft and comes in over 10 colors.  It can be worn like this, as a cape, or open.  I have one in black and gray. I love styling them with black skinny jeans and combat boots.

J.Crew Factory has an ongoing under $35 sale where you can get these picks:

Old Navy totally surprised this seasons with really fashionable wintery choices.  How cute is the quilted faux leather jacket? I also love the Pixie Pant in houndstooth print, and this tweed jacket below.

If you want to get a bit more fancy - without the booties - I think that a fun hologram pump can be a good way to do that.  This Nouveau pump from Stuart Weitzman has enough dark tones to it to make it nighttime appropriate but it also has some of the great Fall jewel tones that I LOVE!

This next image is from the Bloomingdale's lookbook.  I love a good parka, it looks put together and effortless.  There's not much layering going on here, just basic skinny jeans/ leggings with ankle boots. The parka they feature is a classic army green color.  I like this more updated version in navy, from J.Crew.

I love bucket bags year round, but they're really being showcased for Fall, with additions like fringe, tassels and Fall color schemes/jewel tones.  Rebecca Minkoff has this cool version exclusively sold at Bloomies.  It goes without saying, but the amazing mustard color of the Vicki bag by See by Chloe tugs at my heart strings.

Once again, Alexander Wang has the Diego Bucket Bag - this is the baby brother of the Rocco; it has all the solid hardware and weight as the Rocco but has a more cool-girl vibe in a bucket shape. The Halston Heritage Croc Embossed Bucket Bag combines the perfect texture of moc croc with a light, pale gray hue.

Madewell always has some good Fall staples, like this scarf and sweater.
